Who We Are

At Read Like A Genius, we believe that every child has the potential to become a confident and creative reader. Our program uses proven techniques that combine phonics, comprehension, and imagination — helping students not only read but understand and enjoy what they read.

We’re passionate about creating a safe, supportive learning environment that builds confidence and sparks curiosity. Whether your child is just beginning or looking to improve their reading level, we meet them where they are and guide them every step of the way. Many kindergarten and first grade teachers spend weeks attempting to teach phonemic awareness to their students by first trying to get them to memorize the alphabet and the sounds they make.

However, a large percentage of students do not learn the alphabet and the sounds adequately. It is not because teachers are not teaching properly; rather, it is because students are simply not ableto retain the information. Unfortunately, this slows down the entire class or worse; the teacher is forced to continue moving on to the next lesson in order to stay on schedule. Of course, we all know what happens when students don’t master the basics: their reading ability diminishes and their comprehension suffers greatly.
